In my opinion there’s no better time in Los Angeles for your Family Photoshoot. You and your kids will be much more comfortable with your session in the mild spring weather – and we definitely want your kids to be comfortable during your session so we get those great smiles!
Fewer People (and bugs!)
Another advantage of spring family photoshoots is the fact that fewer people are usually out and about in the locations where we shoot. In the summer, people are on vacation enjoying their time off in the great outdoors, and in the Fall, we’re often competing with other families also capturing the perfect photos for holiday cards. As an added bonus, in the spring, the daytime weather is quite mild and the nights are still cool. This helps to keep insects and rattlesnakes at bay, ensuring a safer and more comfortable environment for your outdoor family session.

By scheduling your family photoshoot in the spring, you’ll be ahead of the game for urgent Christmas card deadlines. Plus, you’ll have the added bonus of better weather and scenery; photos in the fall are usually dry brush from a long hot summer!

As the weather warms up in summer, people flock to the coast, resulting in larger crowds in the background of your pictures. By shooting in the spring, before the beaches get too crowded, I’m able to capture intimate moments with your family minus all of the crowds and colorful beach umbrellas.
