The Session and Investment Process

Plan
We’ll get to know each other and plan your perfect session via phone, email or in person at my studio. You’ll pay your session fee to reserve your chosen date, and if you’d like to add hair and makeup services, you’ll pay that upfront as well.
Shoot
We’ll meet for the customized session we’ve planned together and create beautiful images together that capture your family in its best light. Depending on the session type, this might take anywhere from 30 minutes to 3 hours.
order
A few weeks later, I’ll let you know I’ve finished editing and we’ll meet at the studio or via zoom and do a slideshow reveal of your images. You’ll decide if you’d like to purchase digital images, printed art, or both.

Purchasing your photos
At your viewing and ordering appointment (about 2-3 weeks after our portrait session), you will have the opportunity to purchase the images you love. You can purchase just digital files, just printed art, or a collection of both. Most clients spend between $800-$4000 on their portrait purchase. Take some time to think about how you’d like to view your images over the years. While digital files are a great archival medium, think about how often you look at photos from even just a year ago that are only in a folder on your computer or on your phone. Build Your Own Baby Plan
If you’re interested in doing multiple sessions throughout the year so you can remember all the amazing growth that happens in that too-short timeframe, you can build your own Baby Plan to include exactly as many sessions as you’d like. Want to include maternity, fresh 48, newborn, 6 month and birthday sessions? Great! Want to skip the maternity but make sure you capture your all baby’s milestones with newborn, 3 month, 6 month, 9 months and birthday sessions? Sounds good! Want to bookend a great year with a newborn session and a cake smash? We can do that! The more sessions you book at once, the bigger discount you receive. Take a look at the chart below to see what your total session fee would be and how much you’d save on your art purchase depending on how many sessions you choose.

** As long as all sessions are used with 2 years from date of purchase, you will be locked in at the current pricing at the time of booking. If sessions occur after the 2 year mark, prevailing pricing will apply to your purchase at your viewing and ordering session appointment.
