Meet Los Angeles Photographer
Hi, I'm Emily!
Born and raised in Los Angeles, I now call Culver City home and love photographing my community members and their families. With a degree in Music and Business from USC and a Masters in Education from UCLA, I followed a bit of a round-about path to get here, but I couldn’t love where I’ve ended up more. When I’m not shooting and editing the portraits we create together, you might find me singing with my choir, dancing to show tunes in the kitchen, or baking up some sweet treats. I love to travel and immerse myself in other cultures, but curling up with a good book and a cat on my lap is pretty great too. I look forward to getting to know you and making some memories that will last you a lifetime.
Why Hire Me?
Years of experience
In addition to 9 years as a fully licensed and insured photographer, I spent the better part of a decade caring for babies and young children at one of UCLA's child development centers, primarily as lead infant teacher, with some time in preschool classrooms as well. I might as well be a Certified Baby Whisperer, but there is no such thing. You can rest assured your children are in safe and caring hands with me.
Health Conscious
I am fully vaccinated and make sure my shots stay up to date at all times, including the Covid-19 vaccine (and boosters), the whooping cough vaccine and the flu shot. I ensure that all of my assistants meet the same standard. My CPR and first aid certifications are always current, and I will not hesitate to reschedule a newborn session if I wake up feeling ill.
Fun!
I have a knack for getting even the shyest toddlers come out of their shells. And if kiddos need a break to just play for a while, that's fine too! Many families have told me how relieved they were that the session was so enjoyable and low stress.
