Support Local With Culver City Photographer, Emily Winnie
As a Culver City Photographer, one of my goals this year is to shine a light on the small, locally owned businesses that make this neighborhood feel like home. One of my absolute favorites is MillCross Coffee Bar and Kitchen, a locally owned coffee shop right down the street from my studio. Supporting a local business feels so much better than visiting the big chain shops, and MillCross is the kind of place that reminds you why community businesses are so special. The space is beautiful, the baristas are friendly, and the food and drinks are always a hit.
Why Culver City Photographer Clients Love Mill Cross Coffee!
Mill Cross Coffee is one of my go-to spots during the week. I stop there at least twice a week with my niece before we head to the park, and it’s always such a cozy, welcoming experience. The space feels warm and inviting, the staff is kind, and it’s the perfect place to slow down for a moment. Marley and I were especially big fans of the special iced caramel apple chai latte this last fall (don’t worry I only gave her a few small sips but she kept asking for “more” or “this” and I’m trying to be the favorite aunt so I get to do these types of things!).
It’s also an ideal stop before, during, or after a photo session. If you’re coming in for a session at my studio, MillCross is a great place to grab a drink, eat lunch, take a breath, and settle into the day. My personal favorite are the mole chicken tacos. The green sauce is to die for and honestly worth the visit all on its own.
A Local Spot Near Your Newborn Photographer
For families visiting me as a newborn photographer, MillCross Coffee is especially convenient. Newborn sessions can feel like a big outing in those early weeks, and having a calm, nearby place to grab coffee or meet a partner afterward makes the experience feel easier and more relaxed. It’s close, stroller-friendly, and a nice way to turn your session day into something a little more enjoyable. They also turn into a wine bar in the evenings, which would be a fun reset after a branding session or perfect for date night!
The Heart Behind MillCross Coffee
Mill Cross Coffee was founded with a deep focus on community, hospitality, and doing things the right way. Their story is rooted in intentionality, from sourcing quality coffee to creating a space where people genuinely feel welcome. It’s not just about caffeine, it’s about connection. That philosophy aligns so closely with why I do what I do as a photographer.
As a Culver City Photographer, I love highlighting places that reflect the heart of this neighborhood. MillCross is a business that truly cares about its people, its product, and the community it serves, and that’s exactly the kind of local spot worth supporting.
If you’re visiting my studio soon, I highly recommend stopping by Mill Cross Coffee and showing them some love! And if you’re looking for a Culver City Photographer who values community, local connection, and creating meaningful experiences, I’d love to work with you.
